Linguas De Veado - Melt In the Mouth Wine Biscuits Recipe

These sweet little crunchy biscuits are called “Linguas de veado” in Portuguese.   Quite interestingly, when translated into English it means; “Butter cookies in the shape of a large tongue”.  However, I made them round in shape so that they are easier to pop into the mouth and crunch away in seconds! Super easy to make and they all will vanish in a jiffy. Ingredients needed; Ingredients        Amounts Egg whites 3 Icing Sugar 120g Plain fl. 120g Butter (melted) 120g Salt- pinches 3 Vanilla Let’s make; Set the Oven to 160 C Cream the batter Clean wipe a wide bowl perfectly dry to beat the egg whites Pour the egg whites and beat until frothy.  This will take  2- 3 mins In a separate bowl beat butter and icing sugar until creamy Now add the butter and sugar cream to the egg whites Add Plain flour Add salt and vanilla Give a good stir and bring it all together using a wooden spoon or a spatula Pipe onto the tray   and stick it in the oven Pour the batter into a piping bag Pipe disc shapes

Buttercream Icing And Chocolate Icing For Cakes

Vanilla buttercream Icing Whip up this creamy butter icing in less than 2 mins for frosting your cake and you will not believe that your ultimate chocolate cake dream is right in front of you! My personal opinion is that you should never use butter for this recipe despite it being named ‘Butter Icing’. Butter leaves a lumpy heap in cold weather and melts soon in hot weather. Also, it is very dense and sticky too. Good quality spread or margarine is the best choice to make butter icing which will never let you down in taste as well as in texture. It will come out light, creamy, and satin silk, making it a joy to frost your cake!
